Logan County Jail Mugshots
The official source for Logan County jail mugshots is the Logan County Sheriff roster chooser. That page separates current inmates from the 48-hour release list. The current roster inspected during research showed booking-photo thumbnails beside inmate entries, and each entry linked to a public profile. The roster is operated by the Logan County Sheriff's Office for the Logan County Sheriff’s Office and Detention Center in Paris.
There was no official daily mugshot gallery, long-term photo archive, or separate recent-bookings photo feed located in the sheriff materials. Visibility appears to depend on the current roster, individual roster profiles, and the separate 48-hour release category. The sheriff does not publish a formal mugshot retention policy beyond those roster paths, so older Logan County booking photos may require a direct request to the sheriff rather than another public page.
The current inmate roster is the best place to begin when the person may still be held in county custody. The 48-hour release roster is the official follow-up path for recent releases. If neither page lists the person, custody may have ended, the person may have transferred, or the record may need to be requested through the sheriff under Arkansas FOIA.
The sheriff's sample roster profile inspected during research showed how a Logan County booking photo appears beside the rest of the jail record.
The profile view matters because the photo is not the only record. It also places the image next to booking and bond fields that should be checked before anyone treats the roster as current court information.
Find Logan County Booking Photos
Logan County booking photos are found through the same roster workflow used for jail custody checks. Start at the roster chooser, select the right status list, and open the profile rather than relying on a thumbnail. The current roster can be sorted by name, date, current status, or released status. It also has A-Z letter filters and a Search By Name box with the placeholder "Enter first or last name."
- Open the Logan County roster chooser.
- Select Current Inmates for a person believed to be in the Logan County Detention Center now.
- Use Search By Name, a letter filter, or the Date and Name sort links to narrow the roster.
- Look for the mugshot thumbnail, then select "View Profile >>>" for the larger booking profile.
- Check the 48 Hour Release list if the person was released recently.
- If no public profile appears, call detention staff at 479-963-3271, ext. 1, or make a specific Arkansas FOIA request.
The current roster screenshot in the manifest came from the sheriff's booking-date roster view.
The roster image shows why the list view is useful for quick identification, but the profile view is still the better record source for booking number, charges, and bond.
Logan County Photo Fields
A Logan County mugshot appears as part of a jail booking record. The inspected public profile showed a single front-facing booking image. It did not show side-view images or a set of multiple angles. The same profile included several identity and booking fields, but it did not display date of birth, height, weight, eye color, hair color, arresting agency, housing unit, court date, warrant number, case number, projected release date, or a profile-level release status field.
| Field | What It Shows |
|---|---|
| Mugshot | Booking photo if available, shown as a roster thumbnail and on the public profile. |
| Name | The public roster name attached to the booking profile. |
| Booking Number | A local booking identifier, observed in the format 26-0371. |
| Demographics | Age, gender, race, and address locality were visible on the inspected profile. |
| Booking Date | Date and time booked, observed in month-day-year and time format. |
| Charges | Plain-text charge information as entered on the jail record. |
| Bond | A visible bond amount, with a warning that it may change after court. |
That field list should be read as the inspected Logan County profile inventory, not a promise that every profile will have every field. The sheriff's roster notice says the detention center cannot certify the accuracy or authenticity of the website data, and individual profile text warns that charges and bail amounts may change after court appearances.
Are Logan County Mugshots Public?
Booking photos held by a law-enforcement agency are generally handled as Arkansas public records unless a specific exemption applies. For Logan County jail mugshots, the practical public path is the sheriff roster first, then the sheriff's phone, contact, or in-person request channels. A request should identify the person by full name, booking number if known, booking date, arresting agency if known, and the exact record requested, such as a booking photograph from a named booking.
Arkansas FOIA does not make every police record open at every moment. Undisclosed law-enforcement investigations can be withheld while the exemption applies, and sealed, juvenile, court-restricted, or confidential records may be limited. That is why a missing Logan County booking photo is not proof that no arrest occurred. It may mean the roster window passed, the person transferred, an image was not available online, or the custodian must review the request.
Key Statutes:
Ark. Code Ann. § 25-19-105 - Arkansas public records are generally open to Arkansas citizens unless an exemption allows withholding.
Ark. Code Ann. § 25-19-105(b)(6) - undisclosed law-enforcement investigations may be exempt while the investigation remains protected.
Ark. Code Ann. § 4-75-102 - certain publish-for-pay booking-photo sites must remove a photo after a proper written request and cannot charge a removal fee.
Roster Photo Timing
The official Logan County materials do not state a fixed number of days that a mugshot remains online. The sheriff provides a Current Inmates roster and a 48 Hour Release roster. During research, the release roster existed but showed no released entries. That supports a cautious reading: current custody photos are public when the public profile is active, and recent release visibility may be tied to the 48-hour release category, but no long-term public mugshot archive was located.
Timing also depends on intake. A new booking must be entered before a public profile appears. The jail has booking beds and creates a booking record with name, demographics, booking date, charges, and a booking photo when available. The research did not find a sheriff-published roster refresh schedule. Arkansas VINE says county jail data updates every 15 minutes, but that is VINE's update schedule, not a stated refresh rate for the sheriff's roster.
What is and isn't public: The public roster can show a mugshot, booking number, booking date, charge, and bond. It did not show DOB, housing unit, court date, warrant number, case number, or a full investigative file on the inspected profile.
Request a Logan County Mugshot
No dedicated Logan County sheriff mugshot request form was located. For a booking photo that is no longer visible on the roster, use the sheriff as the likely records custodian and make the request specific enough to locate the record. Arkansas FOIA allows requests by in person, telephone, mail, fax, email, or electronic means provided by the custodian, but the request still needs enough detail for staff to identify the booking.
The clearest request should include the person's full name, booking number if known, booking date, requested record type, and requester contact information. If a bond company, family member, or attorney needs current bond and case-number details, the roster profile warning says to call detention staff at 479-963-3271 for correct bail amount, charges, and case numbers. The sheriff contact form is not monitored 24/7, so urgent custody questions should use the office phone or emergency channels when appropriate.

Mugshot Removal and Sealing
Arkansas Act 450 of 2021 is often misunderstood. It does not ban sheriff roster photos, and it is not a general court sealing statute. The law targets private publish-for-pay websites that use booking photographs and require payment or other consideration for removal. A covered site that receives a proper written request must remove the photo within five business days and may not charge a fee. The Arkansas Attorney General may investigate or litigate violations.
For an official Logan County roster photo, the better question is whether the underlying record is still public, whether the roster entry is still active, and whether any court sealing order applies. A dismissal or changed charge does not automatically rewrite every public jail record. People seeking to limit public access after a case should use the court process described for sealing and expunging an arrest record and should verify the status with the court clerk and the record custodian.
State and Federal Photos
Logan County jail mugshots are different from state prison, federal, and immigration custody records. The Arkansas Department of Corrections inmate locator is the search path after a person is sentenced and transferred to state custody. Arkansas DOC public inmate information can include a photograph and sentenced-inmate fields under DOC Administrative Rule 804, but it is not the county jail roster.
The Federal Bureau of Prisons locator searches federal inmates from 1982 to the present and does not operate as a county mugshot gallery. The ICE Online Detainee Locator System locates certain people in immigration custody and does not function as a public booking-photo page. If a Logan County arrest involves a federal hold, U.S. Marshals housing, or immigration custody, use the relevant locator for custody status and call the county detention center for local housing confirmation.
