Logan County Jail Overview

The Logan County Sheriff’s Office and Detention Center is operated by the Logan County Sheriff's Office. Sheriff Jason W. Massey is named on the administration page, Chief Deputy Joshua Scott is listed as command staff, and Lieutenant/Jail Administrator Danna Duke is named for the detention division. The jail is the facility shown on the official Logan County roster, so it is the first place to check for a person arrested by deputies or by most local agencies in Logan County.

The jail is a county detention center, not an Arkansas Department of Corrections prison. It holds Logan County arrestees, pretrial detainees, locally sentenced detainees, and some federal inmates when accepted. The sheriff's information distinguishes Booneville misdemeanor arrests because Booneville has a small city jail facility, but most Logan County arrestees are brought to the county detention center in Paris. Once a person is sentenced and transferred to state prison, the Arkansas Department of Corrections locator becomes the better search path.

Logan County Jail Capacity

The current jail was built in 2019 and replaced a former 33-bed facility on Grober Street in Paris. The sheriff's detention division page lists 100 total beds: 6 booking beds, 67 male beds, and 27 female beds. That bed split is important because total capacity is not the same as open space in each classification or housing group. The research did not locate a public floor plan, pod map, medical housing count, mental-health unit description, or work-release annex for the facility.

The sheriff's current roster displayed 59 inmates during research on May 29, 2026. That is a point-in-time web roster count, not an annual average daily population report. Logan County does not publish annual bookings, average length of stay, or a demographic custody table in the official sources reviewed.

Look Up Logan County Inmates

The correct online lookup for this facility is the Logan County roster chooser. Use Current Inmates for a person believed to be in the detention center now, or 48 Hour Release for someone recently released. The current roster has a Search By Name field, A-Z filters, and sort links for Name, Date, Current, and Released. Public entries can show a mugshot thumbnail, name, booking number, booking date, charges, bond, and a profile link.

2. Search by first or last name, or use the A-Z filters if only a surname initial is known.
3. Sort by Date when the booking is recent, or by Name for an alphabetical review.

Logan County Jail Visitation

The detention center inmate information page describes video visitation rather than face-to-face contact visits. Visits use kiosks in a room off the front lobby. Visitors park in front of the jail, enter through the lobby doors, continue down the hallway, and check in at the second window. The inmate schedules the visit through a cellblock kiosk. Visitors may call ext. 1 the morning of visitation to confirm they are on the list.

All visitors are run through Arkansas Crime Information Center. The sheriff says visits are monitored and may be terminated for inappropriate conduct. The normal visit length is 10 to 15 minutes. No official dress code, child visitor rule, locker policy, attorney-visit schedule, or holiday rule was located in the sheriff materials reviewed.

Mail, Phone, and Money

The sheriff page does not publish a full inmate mailing-address format. It does publish a strict rule for outside items: the jail does not accept inmate items except prescription medication and prescription glasses. Clothing, food, books, and similar items are rejected. Contraband received through mail or other means is seized, staff attempt to identify the sender, and serious or dangerous contraband is provided to criminal investigators. The sheriff page states that introducing contraband into a correctional facility is a Class C felony.

Money and video services are handled through vendor channels linked or identified in the research. The sheriff links City Tele Coin for adding inmate money or creating video-visitation accounts. The sheriff did not publish Logan-specific vendor fees, deposit limits, or delivery schedules.

Booking at Logan County Jail

Most Logan County arrestees are taken to the detention center in Paris for booking. Intake creates the local jail record: name, demographics, booking number, booking date and time, charges, bond, and booking photo when available. The facility has 6 booking beds. After intake, the person may go through search, property handling, medical or security screening, classification, and housing assignment.

Roster timing is not published by the sheriff. A profile may appear after the booking is entered, but charges and bond can change after court. The individual profile warning tells bond companies and people posting bail to contact detention staff for the correct bail amount, charges, and case numbers. For bond or release pickup, the sheriff directs people to the back side of the building near the garage/sally-port door and to park in the lot by that door.

About Logan County Jail

The jail has several locally documented operational details. A sheriff release said the Arkansas Jail Standards Review Committee inspects the jail annually, and U.S. Marshals inspect it because the jail holds some federal inmates. A 2025 sheriff release described installation of a Soter RS full-body scanner funded by the Logan County Quorum Court to help detect concealed contraband. Those details support the facility's mixed county and federal-housing role.

Program information is also limited but specific. The sheriff announced a 2026 three-year Arkansas Department of Health grant involving the Wolfe Street Foundation for a full-time peer recovery support specialist serving the sheriff's office and detention center. A 2023 release described a detention-center recovery program connected to The Guidance Center and Arkansas Opioid Recovery Partnership settlement funding.
